Heads & Chairs: Challenges in Academic Leadership
There are changing expectations of universities and colleges in relationship to teaching, research, and community involvement. At the same time, the responsibilities of individual faculty members are also changing. Heads and Chairs are uniquely positioned to address the challenges of the academic environment and to promote growth in scholarship and personal satisfaction within an institution.
The Challenges in Academic Leadership workshop will provide you with a deeper understanding of the dimensions and elements of academic leaders by bringing together experienced facilitators and heads and chairs to reflect together on the challenges, opportunities and responsibilities of this critical role in every university or college.
