Content Provider: Resource Development and Integration
Extended Education is seeking a Content Provider for online development of the course Resource Development and Integration.

Course Name:Resource Development and Integration (12 course hours)
Course Information:This course is offered as part of Extended Education’s programming in Teaching English as a Second Language which is designed for individuals who are aspiring a career in the field of ESL. This course will help TESL students better assess, select and adapt materials for their classroom, with the ultimate goal being the design and creation of materials specific to a given context. TESL students will also explore how best to integrate technology into the classroom, avoiding a “technology for technology’s sake” mindset. Copyright and issues pertaining to the use of existing materials and technology will also be discussed.
Qualifications:Interested individuals must have a Master’s degree and a minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching ESL. A suitable combination of post-secondary education and experience in teaching ESL may be considered. Professional certification by TESL Canada is preferred. Experience in the development of online courses and/or online teaching is an asset. Also required are excellent written skills, and demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
Terms of Contract:This contract will begin on August 8, 2017 and end on October 10, 2017. During this time, the Content Provider will be required to develop and submit the following materials: a course outline, a course blueprint with unit-by-unit learning outcomes, a production plan, a course schedule, an assessment overview and individual assessments, multi-media pieces as well as the course content comprising the units for online delivery of the course. The Content Provider will work with an instructional designer and a multi-disciplinary production team. It is expected that the Content Provider will be available for on-site or virtual meetings with the Design and Production team between August 8 and October 10.
Payment:Payment for this course development will be $1,350.00.

Course Information:This course is offered as part of Extended Education’s programming in Adult Education which is designed to create excellence in practice in program development with an applied and practical approach to teaching and training adults in a diverse range of settings. This course will focus on needs assessment as a powerful tool for planning programs and accomplishing the desired outcomes. The course includes a six hour applied project component.
Qualifications:Interested individuals must have a Master’s degree and a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an Adult Learning setting. A suitable combination of post-secondary education and experience may be considered. Experience in the development of online courses and/or online teaching is an asset. Also required are excellent written skills, and demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
