Before You Leave
The Intensive English Program staff is committed to making your stay in our program the positive, successful and memorable experience you are looking for.
Our dedicated, university-trained teachers are not only experts in language training, but will also make you feel welcome. They will support your language learning inside and outside the classroom so you can reach your personal goals.
Our Activity Leaders, University of Manitoba students, always plan fun and interesting events and encourage you to make friends and practice English. They help you to explore the city of Winnipeg and the province of Manitoba and encourage you to become part of the University of Manitoba community. Our Activity Leaders are there to help you to adjust to your new life in Canada and to make your student life that much more enjoyable.
From academic student support to accommodation to organizing our Experience Manitoba Activities, English Language Studies and International Programs administrative staff is there to make sure all aspects of your program are satisfactory to you. Administrative staff are available to meet with you in 185 Extended Education Complex from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday or during specific office hours.
Our Office (185 Extended Education Complex) is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. Please consult the staff office hours below for specific meeting times:
- Mondays 3:30 – 4:20 p.m.
- Tuesdays 12:30 – 2:30 p.m.
- Wednesdays 3:30 – 4:20 p.m.
- Thursdays 12:30 – 2:30 p.m.
- Tuesdays 12:30-2:00 p.m.
- First week of the month: Wednesday 3:45-4:30 p.m.
- All other weeks: Tuesdays 12:30-2:00 p.m.
